Metallized polypropylene film capacitors, cased in plastic box sealed in epoxy resin (flame retardant UL-94V-0).
Terminals: tinned copper clad steel wires.
Non inductive wound construction.
Metal layer deposited by evaporation under vacuum.

STANDARD TESTS
MKP41 SERIES

PEAK PULSE TEST
V peak = 2,5 kV (Three times before endurance test)
Typical waveform. The exact values of T1 & T2 depend on the capacitance value being tested.

|
ENDURANCE TEST
The capacitors are tested for 1.000 hours at upper category temperature
with a voltage of 1,25 x UR for class X2.
Every hour the test voltage is increased up to 1000VRMS/50Hz for a period of 0,1 s.
|
|
|
ACTIVE FLAMMABILITY TEST
The capacitors are tested at the rated voltage (Vac) at 50Hz with superimposed 20 pulses at 2,5 kV for class X2 with an interval between the sucessive pulses of 5 seconds.
The rated voltage is maintained for 2 min after the last discharge. The cheese-cloth
around the capacitor shall not burn with a flame.

CHARGE AND DISCHARGE TEST
The capacitors are subject to 10.000 cycles of charge and discharge at the rate of approximately one operation per second and the maximum rate of change of voltage (dV/dt) shall be aproximately
100 V/?s.
